Dr. Weininger specializes in the study of modern Hebrew and Yiddish literature, with research interests in gender, Jewish nationalism, and diaspora. Her courses at Rice focus on Jewish film and literature, women and gender, and modern Israel. Dr. Weininger is currently at work on a book on diaspora Israeli literature. Her most recent article, on translingualism in contemporary Israeli literature, appeared in the Winter 2016 issue of Studies in the Novel.
